Nibe Space receives IN-SPACe registration for EO data dissemination, to support India’s geospatial intelligence initiatives

Nibe Limited has announced a key milestone in its space-tech journey, with its subsidiary Nibe Space Private Limited receiving formal registration from IN-SPACe (Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center) for operations as a Data Disseminator of Earth Observation (EO) data over Indian territory.

The registration, approved for EO data with a Ground Sampling Distance (GSD) greater than 30 cm, empowers Nibe Space to officially operate under IN-SPACe’s regulatory framework. The company will now be able to facilitate compliant and controlled distribution of high-resolution EO data, significantly contributing to India’s expanding space ecosystem.

The signing ceremony took place on April 8, 2025, in the presence of Mr. Dnyaneshwar Nibe, Director of Nibe Space, and Mr. PK Jain, Director of PMA at IN-SPACe — the nodal body under the Government of India that authorizes and regulates private participation in space activities.

“This authorization from IN-SPACe reinforces our commitment to advancing space-based data services in India,” said Mr. Dnyaneshwar Nibe. “We aim to leverage EO data for diverse applications while strictly adhering to national regulatory guidelines.”

He added that the company will continue supporting national and international initiatives through high-quality geospatial intelligence, focusing on innovation and enhanced accessibility of satellite-derived data.
