Notre Dame alum, Eagles linebacker Patrick Johnson to host youth football camp next week | Local Sports

Notre Dame alum and Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Patrick Johnson is coming back to Chattanooga on June 20 to host his first youth football camp.

Johnson was a star for the Fighting Irish before going on to become the all-time sacks leader at Tulane. Now, he’s ready to enter year five in the NFL.

The free camp will be at Notre Dame High School. Drop-off is at 9:30 a.m., while pickup is at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 20.

Johnson is excited to get back to his roots and pour into the young campers.

“What they can expect is not just somebody who’s going to be out there telling them how to run drills. I’m going to be out there running the drills with them. We’re going to have a lot of fun,” he explained.

“Hopefully, there’ll be some competitions, a lot of fun. There’ll be food and stuff waiting after, so I hope the parents can bring their kids out and have a good time.”

Johnson added, “I’ll be out there with my cleats on ready to go, so I just hope I can impact anybody that comes, boys and girls. It’s going to be fun.”
