Notre Dame fan survey 2025: Irish fans, how do you feel about the football program now?

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — What does it feel like to be a Notre Dame football fan today?

The Athletic’s sixth annual Notre Dame fan survey will attempt to answer that question as the Irish look for an encore season under Marcus Freeman with the hope it can go one step further. Enthusiasm for Notre Dame football seems to be hitting a generational peak, and the survey will put some hard data behind all that emotion.

Some of these questions are repeats from previous surveys, a chance to see how fan expectations have evolved from the end of Brian Kelly to the beginning of the Freeman era to Notre Dame’s current coach now establishing himself near the top of the sport. And some of these are new, covering how college sports continue to evolve, the USC series facing a potential end and the College Football Playoff continuing to lurch forward.
