Oman taps Indian travel market with tourism workshop in Jaipur
Muscat: Organized by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, the Jaipur workshop is part of Oman’s broader campaign to enhance its visibility in regional and global tourism markets. The event aims to position Oman as a unique and safe Middle Eastern destination, celebrated for its rich cultural heritage, geographic diversity, and modern hospitality offerings.
The workshop will include face-to-face business meetings between leading Indian travel agents, airline representatives, and specialized media with Omani tourism stakeholders. The goal is to build lasting partnerships while showcasing Oman’s offerings in adventure tourism, heritage travel, cruise experiences, wedding destinations, hospitality, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism.
Participants from Oman’s tourism sector will present visual showcases and curated promotional material, supported by interactive sessions that highlight bespoke travel packages tailored to Indian travelers’ preferences and interests.
This strategic event underscores India’s importance as a priority market for Oman. With a growing number of Indian tourists visiting the Sultanate in recent years, thanks to improved visa access and better air connectivity, the Ministry aims to further boost arrivals through targeted marketing and collaboration.
Officials emphasized that such initiatives align with Oman Vision 2040, which seeks to diversify the national economy and position tourism as a key growth driver.
