Oman wraps up tourism workshops in India
MUSCAT: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MoHT) has successfully concluded a series of promotional workshops in India, attended by 25 Omani tourism establishments and 150 Indian companies engaged in outbound tourism. The initiative aimed to foster closer cooperation between the Omani tourism sector and Indian tourism companies, attract target tourist segments, and enhance Oman’s presence in one of its priority international markets.
The workshops drew participation from prominent Indian tourism companies and representatives of specialised media outlets, reflecting the growing interest in Omani tourism offerings.
Through presentations by Omani tourism institutions, participants were introduced to a diverse range of tourism packages, services, and facilities, as well as exclusive offers designed specifically for the Indian market.
In addition to the presentations, a series of bilateral meetings were held to discuss opportunities for enhancing collaboration, integration, and partnerships across various tourism sectors. These discussions are expected to contribute to increasing Oman’s competitiveness and attracting more visitors to Oman.
This promotional initiative forms part of the Ministry’s wider strategy to organise targeted events in key global markets. The campaign seeks to attract diverse tourist segments, promote Oman’s attractive tourism offerings, and gain a deeper understanding of market-specific preferences and expectations.
Officials emphasised that such workshops and external exhibitions not only raise awareness of Oman as a comprehensive tourism destination but also help identify visitor aspirations in the context of ongoing global tourism transformations. By doing so, they support the development of innovative, integrated experiences while strengthening direct engagement and sustainable partnerships in priority markets.
The MoHT highlighted that these initiatives play a critical role in reinforcing Oman’s tourism brand, showcasing its natural and cultural assets, and promoting the high-quality services and facilities available across Oman. — ONA
