Pakistan U23 football team wraps up Islamabad camp

LAHORE  –  The Pakistan U23 national football team has successfully completed its two-week training camp in Islamabad as final preparations for the AFC U23 Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers. The camp, held under the guidance of head coach Nolberto Solano, focused on tactical drills, fitness, and match simulations to fine-tune the squad ahead of the crucial continental event. The team will depart today (August 31), flying via Karachi to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, with a layover in Bangkok. Pakistan will open its campaign against Iraq on September 3, followed by a clash with hosts Cambodia on September 6, before wrapping up the group stage against Oman on September 9. The officials expressed confidence in the squad’s preparation and highlighted the importance of the qualifiers as a key step in building a competitive pool of young players for the future of Pakistan football.
