Panasonic showcases autonomous manufacturing solutions at Productronica India 2025, ETManufacturing

Panasonic Smart Factory Solutions India (PSFSIN) at Productronica India 2025.Panasonic Smart Factory Solutions India (PSFSIN), a division of Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND), presented its automation and software-driven smart factory solutions at Productronica India 2025 under the theme “Autonomous Factory – Skill-less Operation.”

The demonstration included the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) series – NPM-GPL printer, NPM-GH and NPM-TT2 modular placement machines, the PanaCIM software suite, the MirAIe ProFactory smart factory platform, and Panasonic’s Operations & Maintenance (O&M) support solutions.

Support for India’s manufacturing initiatives

The solutions were inaugurated in the presence of Tadashi Chiba, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of PLSIND; Takahashi Ryotaro, Managing Director of CPBD and Associate Vice-President of Panasonic Connect; Osamu Shimada, Deputy Managing Director of PSFSIN, and Vishal Dahiya, Director, Factory Automation System, PSFSIN.

Chiba said: “India is emerging as a global manufacturing hub, with initiatives like Make-in-India and the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme attracting global OEMs to set up local operations. Through our Smart Factory solutions, we contribute to the electronics industry by driving innovation, delivering cost-competitive solutions, and addressing both local and regional demands.”

Localised solutions for Indian market

“Our next-generation SMT NPM-GH and NPM-GP/L solutions received positive market response. OEMs appreciated the advanced ASF Feeders for their flexibility and reliability, while the machines delivered performance, accuracy, and faster ROI through reduced downtime, higher throughput, and lower operating costs,” Shimada noted.

“This year, we are showcasing our ecosystem of hardware and software solutions that enable autonomous manufacturing. From SMT machines to platforms like PanaCIM and MirAIe ProFactory, our portfolio is designed to minimise skill dependency, enhance operational consistency, and maximise productivity,” Dahiya stated.
