As per reports on Filmibeat, Sidharth Malhotra charged a Rs 10-12 crore fees to play the protagonist in the film. Leading lady, Jahnvi Kapoor, on the other hand took home nearly Rs 4-5 crore for her role as Sundari in Bollywood’s newest rom-com. Veteran actor Sanjay Kapoor also took a significant amount from the budget of Rs 45-50 crores, a whopping Rs 50 lakh as per the report.

Film critic, Taran Adarsh’s verdict is in. Awarding the film 3.5 stars on five, he called Param Sundari, Jahnvi Kapoor’s “career-best act”. He took to X and wrote, “Final word? Param Sundari ticks all boxes – youth connect, emotions, romance, music, drama… A good watch!”

While other users gave it a 2.5 to 3 rating too. A user on social media called it a “fun ride,” but they seemed disappointed with the ending. However, the music supported the film with “only a handful of jokes” that could make a lasting impact.

Supporting Taran Adarsh, film analyst Sumit Kadel, another influential voice in the space, called the Sidharth Malhotra starrer “fabulous”. Kadel praised Sonu Nigam’s Pardesiya in the film and cinematography throughout Param Sundari. Noting the viral notion of similarity from 2 States, Kadel felt that it was “less like a copy and more like a tribute to those films.”
