The Autumn/Winter 2025 Fashion Month shows have traversed the streets of London, New York and Milan, to Paris, where the heritage houses are readying to present their latest collections. Behind the scenes, there are few figures whose fashion-adjacent work has played such a significant role in bringing these looks to life, than Dame Pat McGrath.
It’s only fitting then, that when Louis Vuitton was seeking a creative director to lead its much anticipated foray into cosmetics “the most influential makeup artist in the world” would be the one to oversee it.
“Working backstage for over 20 years at Louis Vuitton fashion shows, I am thrilled to now play such a key role in the launch of La Beauté Louis Vuitton, which is the result of extraordinary craftmanship, creativity and innovation,” says Pat McGrath, Creative Director, Cosmetics at Louis Vuitton.
“The beauty universe is about so much more than just product, and what we are creating here will unlock a new level in luxury beauty.”

The newly-created role is the culmination of years of behind-the-scenes product development between Dame Pat McGrath and Louis Vuitton – all while continuing to oversee her eponymous label, Pat McGrath Labs.
So what exactly can we expect from the new collection? The debut launch will include 10 lip balms, 55 lipsticks and eight eye palettes, tapping the Louis Vuitton archives for inspiration.
And thankfully, with La Beauté Louis Vuitton set to launch later this year, we won’t have to wait much longer for our first look.
