PELHAM – Live music, food trucks and family fun are back at Pelham City Park this fall as the city’s beloved Music in the Park series returns for its fifth year.

The free concert series will take place on three Sundays in October—Oct. 5, 12 and 19—from 4:30–6 p.m. at Pelham City Park. Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets, enjoy dinner from local food trucks and settle in for a relaxing evening under the open sky. Leashed dogs are also welcome.

What began as a creative response to the challenges of COVID-19 has since become a community tradition, said Alicia Walters, assistant director of Pelham Parks and Recreation.

“Music in the Park continues to bring residents together with free, family-friendly entertainment,” Walters said. “Planning for the event begins early each year to secure talented local bands that the community loves. With live music, a welcoming atmosphere and fun for all ages, Music in the Park remains a highlight of the season.”

This year’s lineup features a variety of local performers:

– Oct. 5 – The Onlys, performing modern rock, classics and hits from the 1950s through the 1980s

– Oct. 12 – Deputy 5, with a country flair

– Oct. 19 – The Negotiators, bringing classic rock, modern rock, Motown and blues

Walters said the atmosphere at Music in the Park is “laid back, easy-going and relaxing.”

“You can come to dance, tap your toe or just sit back and listen,” she said.

Each evening will feature food trucks and kid-friendly activities, ensuring something for everyone.

“The city of Pelham Parks & Recreation Department is committed to offering inclusive events that bring the community together,” Walters said. “Providing free, family-friendly events is a priority for the city, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to connect, relax and have fun.”
