Pinewood Studios workshop fire attended by four fire crews

Firefighters from Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross, Langley and Slough were called to and extinguished a fire located in a single-storey workshop on Pinewood Road in Iver Heath, which was approximately sixty meters by twenty meters, on July 18, at 6.41pm. 

The workshop had around 25 per cent fire damage and 50 per cent smoke damage.

The firefighters used three main jets, one hose reel jet, and a thermal imaging camera at the scene. 

Re-inspections were carried out by a crew from Gerrards Cross at 11.47pm on the day and 9.41am on July 19. 

The studio is a well-known filming location for major movie franchises like James Bond and Star Wars. 

It also recently submitted £1bn expansion plans for a data centre to Bucks Council.
