PM Modi Inaugurates Dwarka Expressway and Urban Extension Road-II to Ease Delhi Traffic

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated two major road projects in Delhi on Sunday—the Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway and the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II)—aimed at decongesting traffic and improving connectivity to the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

The projects were developed under a comprehensive traffic decongestion plan to ease pressure on key routes connecting Delhi, Gurugram, and surrounding areas. The inauguration ceremony began around noon in Rohini, with the Prime Minister formally opening the roads at approximately 1:30 pm.

Union Minister for Road Transport Nitin Gadkari, along with the Chief Ministers of Delhi and Haryana, Rekha Gupta and Nayab Singh Saini, were also present at the event. These projects are expected to significantly reduce travel time and enhance commuter convenience in the national capital region.
