WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. – A value retailer offering “trendy lifestyle products” at more than 7,100 locations worldwide has opened its first store in the Lehigh Valley.
MINISO, a global value retailer offering a variety of “trendy lifestyle products” including toys, home decor, tableware, fashion accessories and health and beauty items, opened its first Lehigh Valley location last week at the Lehigh Valley Mall in Whitehall Township.

MINISO Brand founder Guofu Ye gained inspiration for MINISO during his overseas travels with his family in 2013, according to a brand profile.
He came across several specialty stores that stocked “good quality, well designed, and inexpensive products” that were mostly manufactured in China.
Driven by his passion for retail and his belief in the industry’s potential, Ye established MINISO-“Global IP Collection Store,” the online description continues.
In 2015, MINISO embarked on its globalization journey, entering international markets and making its mark in over 111 countries and regions by March 2024.
Today, it has a strong network of more than 7,100 stores, including locations in world-renowned cities like New York, Los Angeles, Paris, London, Dubai, Sydney and Istanbul.

At the Whitehall MINISO location, individuals can shop a wide variety of items, including toys, puzzles, keychains and plush figures; fashion accessories such as socks, slippers, sunglasses, baseball hats and handbags; and household items such as pillows, bath towels, floor mats, soap dispensers and drinkware and flatware.

The store also sells snacks such as candy and chips; personal care products such as bath sponges, hand creams, hair brushes and cotton swabs; and hair accessories such as bows, clips and headbands.
Shoppers will find items showcasing well-known pop culture characters, including Hello Kitty, Winnie the Pooh, The Powerpuff Girls and Peanuts characters such as Snoopy and Woodstock.

Shoppers can sign up to be a MINISO Rewards member to receive benefits such as $1 off at sign-up, exclusive discounts on select categories and $1 off for every 20 points earned (members receive 1 point for every dollar spent).
