The Music Week Awards are the UK’s only music awards that recognise labels, publishing, live, A&R, radio, marketing and PR. From groundbreaking campaigns to extraordinary talent, the Music Week Awards celebrate the very best in the business. The list of finalists was unveiled last month.

The 2024 edition sold out well in advance of the ceremony, which concluded with an appearance by guest presenters Girls Aloud, who received a rousing reception from the industry audience as they honoured Strat trophy winner Peter Loraine.

PPL licenses recorded music in the UK when it is played in public or broadcast and ensures that revenue flows back to our members. These include independent and major record companies, together with performers ranging from emerging musicians to globally renowned artists. In 2024, PPL’s revenue was £301 million, the highest in the organisation’s 90-year history, and it paid close to 165,000 performers and recording rightsholders.

“With 87% of adults tuning into their favourite station weekly, radio continues to be an important part of the music landscape,” said Jez Bell, chief licensing officer, PPL. “PPL is proud to support the radio station category at the Music Week Awards and celebrate the hard work of all those nominated this year.”
