South star Prabhas became a nationwide sensation after starring in SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster franchise Baahubali. He spent over five years on the films, and in return, received massive recognition worldwide. Following Baahubali, the actor tasted success in 2 other Pan-India films, one with Salaar Part One: Ceasefire, and another with the recent blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD.
However, did know Prabhas made his Bollywood debut way before Baahubali, but unfortunately, went unnoticed? Yes you read that right! The actor starred in a Hindi film with Sonakshi Sinha.
Before you start to worry about the movie, let us tell you that Prabhas made a cameo appearance in his friend, ace director-choreographer Prabhu Dev’s action film, Action Jackson. Released in 2014, the film starred Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha and Yami Gautam in prominent roles.
Prabhas made an appearance in the song ‘Surya Ast Punjabi Mast.’ It is a very peppy song in the movie, featuring Ajay who is celebrating with his friends. While, Sonakshi is seen dancing in the pub. Then comes the scene where Prabhas makes his smashing entry and displays his dancing skills. Made in a whopping budget of Rs 93 crore, the Ajay Devgn-starred earned Rs 65 crore domestically, and bombed at the box office. The film’s worth-of-mouth wasn’t positive either, and received mixed-to-negative reviews from audiences and critics alike.
With an acting career spanning over two decades and blockbusters under his name, Prabhas has emerged as one of the highest-paid actors in the country. According to report by India Today, he took home Rs 25 crore for portraying the roles of Amarendra Baahubali and Mahendra Baahubali in the Baahubali franchise.
Meanwhile, looking ahead, Prabhas has several exciting projects lined up, including The Raja Saab, Spirit, and Fauji, all which are highly awaited by fans.
