PU prof ranked among top forensic scientists worldwide | Chandigarh News

Chandigarh: A professor from Panjab University, Chandigarh, has been ranked among the top forensic scientists globally. Dr Kewal Krishan has been placed 13th on a list of 14,394 forensic scientists worldwide, according to a bibliometric analysis by Stanford University. The ranking, based on citation indicators from the Elsevier Data Repository, evaluated research papers published in reputable journals, citations, and h-index scores. Dr Krishan is recognised for his contributions to forensic science, especially in areas like human morphology, fingerprint analysis, face biometrics, and the use of artificial intelligence in forensics. With over 100,000 citations of his work, he is one of the most cited forensic scientists worldwide. He thanked the VC of Panjab University for supporting innovative research and fostering international collaborations.
