Qualcomm Hosts Snapdragon Auto Day in India with Focus on Smart Mobility
Qualcomm today held one of its most anticipated events, dubbed Snapdragon for India: Auto Day, in order to highlight advancements and development in the smart and sales mobility solutions. The event took place in the presence of the Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari. He attended the event as a chief guest to support the adoption of advanced technologies in India’s transport sector:

The Snapdragon for India: Auto Day event brought together automakers, technology experts, industry partners, and policymakers from across the country. The tech giant presented its Snapdragon Chassis that comes with a wide range of solutions including Snapdragon Cockpit, Snapdragon Ride, Snapdragon Ride Flex, Snapdragon Auto Connectivity, and Snapdragon Car-to-Cloud services.
These platforms are designed to meet the demands of India’s local driving environment and aim to support the country’s shift toward safer and more connected vehicles.
Qualcomm stated that its automotive platforms are already integrated into more than 350 million vehicles worldwide. In India, the company has ongoing collaborations with most of the leading automakers, playing a central role in their technological advancement.
“We are incredibly proud of the strong momentum we’ve had within India’s dynamic automotive industry. Through our work with leading automakers and ecosystem partners, we’ve demonstrated the maturity of our Snapdragon Digital Chassis portfolio and have set new standards for safety and smart mobility in India,” said Nakul Duggal, Group GM, Automotive and Industrial & Embedded IoT, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.
He further says, “This journey is more than just collaborations; it’s a reflection of our deep commitment to advancing automotive intelligence and transforming the driving experience for Indian consumers.”
The company also highlighted its 10+ years of automotive engineering presence in India, with operations across Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, and Gurgaon. These centers contribute to Qualcomm’s global chipset and software development, supporting solutions for telematics, cockpits, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), two-wheelers, and connected services.
