Kuberaa is all set to hit the screens on June 20, 2025, and there is massive buzz around the film as Dhanush and Nagarjuna have teamed up for the first time, with the sensible director Sekhar Kammula helming the project. The pre-release event was held on a lavish note, and none other than SS Rajamouli graced the event as a guest.

Speaking about Kuberaa, Rajamouli stated that he is eager to see what director Sekhar has created this time. “Generally, Sekhar gives away the story of his films through the trailers. But the teaser and songs have not revealed anything, which is quite unusual for Sekhar. This has made me even more curious to see what Kuberaa is all about,” said Rajamouli.

Adding further, the RRR director said that the moment he watched the trance number from Kuberaa, he was taken aback. “The visuals, narrative, and drama in the song blew my mind. Sekhar is a simple man and makes films in his own style. But with Kuberaa, he has changed tracks, and whenever a seasoned director does that, things become interesting. I want to watch Kuberaa for this very reason.”

Rajamouli also added that he is proud Nagarjuna has been taking on different roles in his career of late. “When such star heroes start playing characters, there is so much star power that gets added to the film.”

Kuberaa features Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, with music composed by DSP. Sunil Narang of Asian Cinemas has produced the film on a massive scale and has also invested heavily in the film’s promotions. The pre-release business has been locked at a record price in the Telugu states, and Kuberaa will also get a wide release in Tamil.

Sekhar Kammula is known for embedding social messages in all his films and has never worked with stars until now. Since he has roped in two powerhouses, Dhanush and Nagarjuna, the project has become even more intriguing — one of the main reasons why Rajamouli is so curious about it.
