Rajinikanth’s Coolie and Hrithik Roshan’s War 2 managed to take box office by storm over the first four days. Here’s the latest box office report.
Coolie vs War 2 Box Office Day 5: Coolie featuring Rajinikanth and helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj drew attention as fans hailed Thalaivaa’s energetic performance in the film on its opening day and it’s box office momentum remains intact despite a slight drop the previous week. On the other hand, War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, called for attention for the high-octane stunts and presence of Jr NTR in the movie. Both the films took a fabulous start at the box office. War 2 became the highest grossing opener of the year 2025 while Rajinikanth’s Coolie made record-breaking amount on its day 1. Now, after 5 days of being in theatres, which film is in the lead? Coolie box office collection day 5
On its fifth day (Monday), Coolie made about Rs 5.6 crore in India, according to a Sacnilk report. Compared to its successful first weekend, this is a significant drop. The Lokesh Kanagaraj-directed movie had a huge opening on Thursday, August 14, and performed well during the weekend of Independence Day. Though the Hindi and Telugu versions have also played a role, the Tamil-speaking market has been the main driver of its success. It is now projected that India’s total net collection is close to the Rs 200 crore mark.
War 2 box office collection day 5
Sacnilk reports that since Monday morning, the movie starring Kiara Advani, Jr. NTR, and Hrithik Roshan has brought in Rs 4.38 crore at the box office. If the film doesn’t make more than Rs 20 crore today, it will apparently fail the Monday test. The total, including the five-day collection, is Rs 179.13 crore, although this is not the final sum. At the end of the day on Monday, the figure will be updated.
About Coolie
Rajinikanth plays the main lead in the film. Simon, the main antagonist, is portrayed by Nagarjuna. The actor previously said in a statement that the movie has received a huge amount of positive feedback. Breaking records felt inevitable, and he called Coolie a “celebration of legacy and reinvention.” Aamir Khan makes a surprise appearance in the film, which also stars Shruti Haasan, Upendra, and Soubin Shahir.
About War 2
Ayan Mukerji is the director and Yash Raj Films is the producer of War 2, the sequel to the 2019 movie War, which is said to have a budget of Rs 300–400 crore. In addition to Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, Kiara Advani, Ashutosh Rana, and Anil Kapoor play important parts in the film. “Things get complicated when Kabir Dhaliwal, a secret agent, is accused of betraying his nation and his former batchmate Vikram is assigned the task of finding him,” stated film database platform IMDb while describing the plot of the film.
