Coolie vs War 2 box office: The most anticipated films, Rajinikanth’s Coolie and Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR starrer film War 2, released on the same day that is August 14. Both the films opened with mixed reviews from the audience and is facing close competition from each other. As of day two, both the films have crossed Rs 100 crore mark. But Rajinikanth’s Coolie is racing ahead of War 2 in terms of the box office collection. Let’s take a look at their day 2 box office earnings respectively.

Despite seeing a decline at the box office, Rajinikanth’s Coolie has managed to accomplish yet another triumph on the second day of its release. With a box office total of an estimated 118 crore in just two days, the action movie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is already among the year’s highest grossers.

According to reports, Coolie made between 53 to 54 crore on Friday, August 15, the second day. However, the Independence Day holiday did little to advance the movie, as War 2 took centre stage.

According to Sacnilk, Coolie cemented its position in cinematic history by being the first Tamil film to reach the 150 crore mark globally on its first day of release. Coolie is the greatest Indian opening of 2025 at the global box office, earning Rs 153 crore. According to trade analysts, a global hit would need around Rs 600 crore.

With its Tamil version, Rajinikanth’s action blockbuster had a 78.8% theatre occupancy rate on the second day. This represents a decrease compared to the first day, when 86.9% occupancy was recorded.

War 2 box office collection day 2

Sacnilk reports that the film’s second-day earnings, which increased as a result of Independence Day, were Rs 56.50 crore. As a result, it reached the Rs 100 crore milestone in two days across all languages. The total collection at the domestic box office now stands at Rs 108 crore. In terms of overseas box office, the film managed to earn Rs 79.95 crore

War 2 theatre occupancy day 2

The holiday of Independence Day has aided the film’s growth. It recorded a 49.9% theatre occupancy rate on the second day. Compared to the first day, when occupancy was 29.2%, this is a significant increase.
