REPRESENTATIVES OF WORLD BANK DISCUSSED ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROJECTS AT ANRE

Representatives of the World Bank (WB) discussed the implementation of energy efficiency and thermal rehabilitation projects in Chisinau, tariffs and prices for electricity and natural gas, as well as issues of gas and electricity supply safety at a meeting with the leadership of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE).

As the press service of the department informed, the issue of compensations provided by the government to consumers during the heating season was also raised, so that support would be provided transparently and directly, in order to reduce public spending.

Alexandru Ursu, Director of the Agency, confirmed the regulator’s commitment to supporting initiatives that contribute to the modernization of energy infrastructure and increase energy efficiency in the Republic of Moldova.
