Responding to humanitarian appeals is a top priority – Syrian Arab News Agency

Damascus, SANA-Governor of Sweida, Dr. Mustafa al-Bakkour, stressed that the province’s top priority is to meet humanitarian needs and respond urgently to appeals within the city, amidst a severe shortage of relief materials and essential services caused by damaged infrastructure.

Bakkour stated to SANA that the governorate has intensified efforts to ensure humanitarian aid reaches affected areas, noting that communication with several relevant authorities is ongoing.

The Syrian government continues to exert every effort to assist the people of Sweida and provide them with basic services and materials. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed its ongoing coordination with both local and international partners to closely monitor developments and deliver all necessary aid to the residents, while ensuring the safe return of all displaced individuals to their homes.

In recent days, clashes have occurred between Bedouin tribes and armed groups in Sweida province, resulting in numerous casualties.
