Rocky Battlin’ Bears sweep Frontier track weekly honors
BILLINGS — The Rocky Mountain College Battlin’ Bears have swept all four Frontier Conference Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week honors for the second-straight week, announced by the Frontier Conference on Tuesday.
The Battlin’ Bears competed in the MSUB/RMC Open at Lockwood High School over the weekend, earning second place as a team in both the men’s and women’s competitions.
Jay Jetmore, a senior from Red Lodge, was named the Men’s Field Athlete of the Week. Jetmore earned a B-Standard qualifying mark in the pole vault of 15-foot-9 inches. His mark is tied for the third-best in the NAIA this season and secures the fourth time in his Battlin’ Bear career that Jetmore has qualified for the NAIA National Championships.
This is Jetmore’s fifth career field athlete of the week honor.
Ryan LaMere, a freshman from Billings, was named the Men’s Track Athlete of the Week. LaMere ran a new personal best and the second-fastest 100-meter time in program history of 10.99 seconds to take second overall. He also anchored the 4×100 relay that ran the sixth fastest time in Battlin’ Bears history.

They ran the third fastest time in program history, finishing in 9:33.62, coming up a few seconds short of a B-Standard qualifying time.
