Rosemary Shrager in Eastleigh for cooking demonstration
The event, marking a pause in her ‘Two Wheels for Meals’ challenge, will take place on June 9, aiming to raise awareness about food poverty across the south of England.
The 74-year-old’s challenge involves a 450-mile cycle ride from Land’s End to the White Cliffs of Dover to support food poverty charities.
On June 9, Rosemary will also visit Eastleigh Basics Bank, a local foodbank providing emergency support to families.
The public can attend the cooking demonstration for a fee of £10 at Hendy FordStore at 7pm.
Rosemary will demonstrate how to create affordable store-cupboard meals, with attendees able to sample the prepared dishes and discuss her charitable journey.
Tickets can be bought online.
Rosemary aims to raise at least £100,000 for the Hendy Foundation, which will allocate all funds to local food poverty and welfare charities.
She started her cycling journey on June 1 at Land’s End and hopes to reach the White Cliffs of Dover by June 18.
Donations to Rosemary’s challenge can be made online, with all contributions going directly to local food poverty charities.
