The Royal Shakespeare Company’s production will be coming to the Palace Theatre between March 26 and April 25, 2026.
Based on the book by Roald Dahl, the popular musical will feature Madison Davis, Mollie Hutton, Olivia Ironmonger, and Sanna Kurihara, who will share the role of Matilda.
Richard Hurst has been cast as Miss Trunchbull, while Tessa Kadler, Adam Stafford, and Rebecca Thornhill will take on the roles of Miss Honey, Mr Wormwood, and Mrs Wormwood, respectively.
This week, the young cast was surprised by a visit from Tim Minchin, who wrote the music and lyrics for the show.
The musical will begin its UK tour in October, with dates in Bradford, Liverpool, Plymouth, Sunderland, and Edinburgh.
Final tour dates will be announced in September.
The production, which has played to packed audiences in the West End, has been seen by 12 million people across the world and has won more than 100 global awards, including 24 for best musical.
