RSGL Launches Green Energy Awareness Campaign, Engages Stakeholders in Kota, ETGovernment

As part of the initiative, RSGL organised a meeting in Kota involving officials from Rajasthan Gas, RIICO, the Environment and Industries Departments, and local industrial representatives. The purpose was to encourage industries to adopt natural gas and to address operational and regulatory concerns.

Participants discussed the benefits of natural gas supply for industrial and commercial use. Officials explained that CNG and PNG are supplied continuously and do not require storage or advance booking. They also responded to queries from industrial stakeholders related to supply reliability and safety.

Entrepreneurs at the meeting suggested that piped natural gas (PNG) should be brought under the GST framework, similar to commercial LPG.

RSGL Deputy General Managers C P Choudhary and Vivek Ranjan reported that about 350 km of pipeline infrastructure has been laid in Kota. They added that gas connections are available for households, residential colonies, PG accommodations, multi-storey buildings, industries, and commercial units.

Deputy General Manager Anand Arya and Financial Advisor Deeptanshu Pareek said that domestic gas is being provided through pipelines, and CNG is available for vehicles at designated stations.

Pollution Control Board official Yogita stated that industries need to consider a shift to natural gas for environmental reasons.

RIICO representative M K Sharma noted that the required infrastructure is in place and suggested issuing gas connections across industrial areas through targeted campaigns.

During the discussion, some entrepreneurs raised concerns regarding supply, safety, and regulatory clarity. RSGL officials responded to the issues during the session.
