Rude Science to make children ‘fall in love with science’ in Malvern
The show, hosted by TV Gastronaut Stefan Gates, is packed with “outrageous science stunts” and “disgusting experiments”.
It is based on the book Rude Science, and is set to go on a national tour after sell-out shows at science festivals across the UK.
The show will feature “enormous bottoms, f*rt machines, snot cocktails, vast whoopee cushions, pee-powered fireworks, and ear-wax-oozing mannequins”.
Gates is a multi-award-winning STEM author and CBBC writer/presenter.
He has written and presented 20 TV series, including Incredible Edibles, Gastrolab, and Gastronuts.
He is also the author of 12 books, including Fartology and Science You Can Eat.
He has been described as having “high-octane, unpatronising delivery” and “revels in tackling the fascinating science that no-one dares to talk about whilst staying firmly on the right side of BBC editorial guidelines”.
Marieke Navin, head of the Cheltenham Science Festival, said: “Brilliant.
“Spectacular, hilarious and packed with fascinating science.”
