Rupert Grint returns as Ed Sheeran’s stalker in the singer’s upcoming ‘utterly bonkers’ music video for his new single – 14 years after starring in Lego House

Rupert Grint has returned as Ed Sheeran’s stalker for the singer’s upcoming ‘utterly bonkers’ music video for his new single.

The actor, 36, appeared in Ed’s 2011 music Video Lego House, which reached number five on the UK Singles Chart.

In the video, Rupert’s character was seen being taken into custody after breaking into the singer’s tour bus and attempting to impersonate him onstage.

Now it looks like he’s back once again, as Ed shared a teaser for his new single ‘A Little More’ on Instagram on Monday.

The teaser showed Rupert reprising his role and appearing to walk free from prison as flashbacks from the original 2011 video played.

Ed wrote alongside the post: ’14 years later me and @rupertgrint are reunited.

Now it looks like Rupert is back once again, as Ed shared a teaser for his new single ‘A Little More’ on Instagram on Monday

‘I had this wild idea after writing the song, and thankfully rupert was up for it. It’s an utterly bonkers video for a very upbeat, fun, but angry song. 

‘Think this one is gonna be a lot of people’s fav song from ‘Play’. Out Thursday, watch out for more stuff coming x.’

 As mentioned by Sheeran, ‘A Little More’ will feature on his upcoming album, ‘Play’, which is due out this September.

What happens next remains to be seen – the music video is set to drop on Thursday (August 7).

Elsewhere, Rupert was spotted grabbing ice cream with his family on a staycation in Kent on Sunday.

The Harry Potter actor is a fan of butterbeer in real life, as he enjoyed a butterscotch ice cream at Bears Ice Cream Imaginarium in Whitstable.

The official Instagram page for the shop posted a beaming snap of the star dressed in a brown shirt and black cap.

Alongside the snap, they penned: ‘Thanks for coming @rupertgrint and family! Glad you enjoyed the ice cream wizardry.’

It comes after Rupert shared the first snap of his newborn baby after secretly welcoming his second child with girlfriend Georgia Groome.

The actor took to Instagram in April to introduced the tot, revealing the baby’s name to be Goldie G. Grint.

In a nod to the couple surprising fans with the new arrival, Rupert cheekily wrote ‘Secret Child Slightly Revealed’ in the caption, while also giving a shoutout to the doctor who delivered the baby.

The image sees the tot, who’s gender has yet to be revealed, lying amid a leopard print coat with their face partially covered.

They are dressed in a white baby grow with their name emblazoned on the front, which is teamed with a grey knitted cardigan.

Captioning his sweet post, Rupert penned: ‘Secret Child Slightly Revealed’ Introducing Goldie G. Grint. A 10/10 baby (so far).

Rupert and fellow actor Georgia, who is famed for her role in Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, have been together since 2011 but have worked hard to keep their relationship out of the public eye.

The actor spoke about Georgia briefly in a 2021 interview with Glamour, saying: ‘It’s a very natural thing — we’re just best friends. We’re kind of the same person; we think the same way.

‘That’s always made it work — that’s why it’s lasted. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what it is, but it works and it’s great.’
