In a recent statement, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Russia has dispatched over 20 tons of humanitarian aid to assist the people affected by floods in Myanmar.

The ministry stated that the Ministry of Emergency Situations, in collaboration with the foreign ministry, provided humanitarian assistance to the residents of Myanmar who recently suffered the consequences of a cyclone and floods.

It added that a Russian Il-76 aircraft transported more than 20 tons of cargo to Yangon, including food, essential supplies, tents, as well as the necessary equipment for rescue and recovery operations.

This shipment aims to contribute to the normalization of the humanitarian situation and mitigate the consequences of the natural disaster in Myanmar.

The humanitarian aid provided by Russia demonstrates the international community’s commitment to supporting nations in times of crisis.
