Samsung Galaxy S23 users in India reportedly getting the One Ui 7 update

Samsung officially started Android 15 update earlier this month after a long delay. The One UI 7 update was first made available for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 models.

Now, the company is reportedly offering the Android 15-based One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S23, the S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra models.

As per reports, the update is coming to users in India and certain global markets. The over-the-air (OTA) software update includes the April 2025 security patch. The One UI 7 update is likely to be a handful with its 5GB download size for the Galaxy S23 version.

As you might know, the Galaxy S23 was launched with the Android 13 version and promised at least 5 years of Android OS upgrades.

How To Install One UI On Samsung Galaxy S23

Go to Settings on the phone
Scroll down and tap on Software Update
Click on Download and Install
Reboot your phone to install the One UI 7 version

If you have not yet received the update on your device, the report mentions that it will be available soon as the company is rolling out the update gradually to users worldwide. In addition to this, the updated user interface comes with improved design, quick access and media features.

The smartphones get Gemini AI features with Samsung apps such as Calendar, Notes, Clock and Reminders. Besides other AI-backed features, the phones support features like Drawing Assist and transcription and summarisation of recorded calls.

It is worth noting that Samsung previously delayed the One UI 7 rollout because of a lock screen-related bug. The report suggests that users could remove the lock screen security to avoid any issues. They can also clear the cache partition after the update is done.

One UI 7.0 is a significant software update that brings a major UI redesign, including separate pages for notifications, revamped buttons, icons, widgets and the Quick Panel that has more customisation options. The new software also let users to change icon sizes, widget transparency and customise the lock screen clock alongside other widget options.

Also, the One UI 7 update eliminates support for Edge Panels, which are replaced by the Now Bar feature. These handsets will get Live Notifications support for users to get real-time updates.
