Satya Nadella to quit Microsoft? Indian genius reveals what he would do if he ever decides to leave software giant
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella news: After spending more than three decades with Microsoft, the CEO of the global tech giant, Satya Nadella has disclosed what he would like to do after he leaves Microsoft. In an interesting turn of events, Nadella was asked a question about what he would do if he leaves the tech giant at a recent podcast hosted by Dwarkesh Patel, and his response is a must read. Scroll down to know what he said. After the question was asked by the host, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella first told that he would never leave Microsoft but when insisted, he answered the question.
“I feel like finally, we have that ability. If you say those tokens per dollar per watt is what we can generate, I would love to find some domain in which that can be applied, where it is so underserved. That’s where healthcare, education… Public sector would be another place,” Satya Nadella said.
“If you take those domains, which are the underserved places, where my life as a citizen of this country or a member of this society or anywhere, would I be better off if somehow all this abundance translated into better healthcare, better education, and better public sector institutions serving me as a citizen? That would be a place”, the Microsoft CEO added about his plans.
Microsoft inaugurates new campus in Hyderabad
In another important update covering Microsoft, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy inaugurated a new campus of Microsoft as the company celebrates its journey of 25 years in Hyderabad. The state-of-the-art 1.1 million sq ft LEED-certified building at Gachibowli, the city’s IT hub would house 2,500 additional employees.
Microsoft employs over 20,000 professionals in India over half of which work in Hyderabad. With the launch of the new building, Microsoft plans to hire another 4,800 employees, an official release said.
On the occasion, Microsoft also announced another landmark initiative—partnering with the Government of Telangana—to impart AI training to over 1.2 lakh people in the state. Under the first programme ADVANTA(I)GE TELANGANA, Microsoft is launching an AI Foundations Academy to introduce AI education to 500 government schools benefiting 50,000 students, it said. Additionally, the AI-Industry Pro program will upskill 20,000 industry professionals across Telangana.
