SC Athletic Hall of Fame finds home at SC State Museum

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — A new partnership is giving the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame a permanent home.

Through a memorandum signed Saturday evening, the Hall of Fame’s artifacts  can now be viewed at the South Carolina State Museum.

Displays include memorabilia from South Carolina athletes and coaches — including signed baseballs, Olympic gold medals, and game worn jerseys — creating a permanent sports exhibit within the state museum.

The SC Athletic Hall of Fame will induct 10 new hall -of-famers including NFL all-star Richard Seymour on Monday, May 19th.

The museum is open on Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. and from Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, click here.
