Schaeffler India Launches Fourth Social Innovator Fellowship Program
Schaeffler India has announced the launch of its fourth Social Innovator Fellowship Program, targeting young innovators aged 18 to 35 who are developing solutions for environmental and societal challenges.
The program, part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative called HOPE, will select 10 participants to receive grants of INR 1.75 lakh each.
The fellowship includes a 24-week hybrid mentorship program conducted at IIMA Ventures, designed to help participants scale their innovations. Selected applicants will also gain access to Schaeffler India’s innovation community and network of ecosystem partners for collaboration opportunities.
Applications are open from July 30 to August 30, 2025, through the Buddy4Study platform. The program seeks individuals, groups, institutions, and both for-profit and non-profit organizations working on environmental sustainability, renewable energy, carbon neutrality, circular economy, natural resource management, and technology applications in social sectors.
Eligible applicants must demonstrate a functioning prototype, identify a clear target market, and present a roadmap for scalability, sustainability, and commercial viability.
The selection process involves multiple stages, including telephonic and virtual interviews, culminating in a final pitch presentation. A jury panel comprising Schaeffler India leadership and India Accelerator experts will evaluate applications.
Harsha Kadam, Managing Director and CEO of Schaeffler India, stated that the company believes in innovation and development through inclusive and sustainable programs.
He emphasized that Schaeffler aims to serve as both an enabler and catalyst in addressing social and environmental issues through technology-driven solutions.
Shibi Mathew, Head of HR and CSR at Schaeffler India, said the program represents the company’s commitment to advancing community progress by supporting young innovators across India.
She noted that the initiative provides an opportunity for individuals to address social and ecological challenges through innovative approaches.
The HOPE initiative focuses on four core areas: Healthcare, Occupational skill development, Preservation of Heritage and Environment, and Empowerment of society. Through this framework, Schaeffler India consolidates its community outreach activities to create meaningful impact in the communities where it operates.
