Science for textile production

A scientific and practical conference dedicated to the development prospects of the textile industry was held in the conference hall of the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.

In addition to leading researchers of the Institute, lecturers from departments and faculties of the TSU named after Magtymguly, Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Nyyazov, International University of Oil and Gas named after Y. Kakayev, and the Institute of Engineering and Transport Communications of the country spoke at the conference.

The speakers talked about the milestones and stages of the development of the textile industry, whose enterprises work on cotton, silk, sheep and camel wool produced domestically, and the achievements of the Turkmen chemical industry. The lecturers presented the economic indicators of cotton spinning and sewing factories, plants and complexes engaged in the production of yarn and fabrics, knitwear, sewing products from terry, denim, wool and silk carpet weaving, where domestic chemical technologies are used. 

They also discussed the scientific basis for obtaining natural dyes, improving the level of safety – fire, environmental and industrial, improving the professional level of textile workers, and touched upon issues of environmental protection, increasing the level of greening of industrial enterprises. In particular, it was reported on joint work with the Main State Service «Turkmenstandartlary» and ANT to draw up modern standards, technological regulations, instructions for the implementation of production processes of textile and sewing factories. 

Currently, a number of updated regulations are in effect, in terms of objectivity and appropriateness they correspond to the technological level of the equipment in operation, the achievements of science and technology, and the requirements for textile products. 

Updating the instructions for all types of industrial production will allow enterprises to be in a stable state of development, increasing the competitiveness of finished products. It was emphasised that in this regard, the revision and development of such documents for work on new machines involves holding seminars for textile workers with the involvement of the oldest workers in the industry as trainers.
