Scott Sports Announces Matt Heitmann as Chief Growth Officer

Scott Sports SA today announced the appointment of Matt Heitmann as the company’s first Chief Growth Officer (CGO), a role that will oversee Marketing and Digital functions from its headquarters in Givisiez, Switzerland. The addition of this position reflects Scott’s continued commitment to supporting its teams, strengthening its brand presence, and adapting to the evolving needs of today’s marketplace.

Heitmann brings extensive international industry experience, including leadership roles at Backcountry (USA), BMC (Switzerland) and Canyon (Germany). He also has a strong history with Scott, having served most recently as Chief Marketing Officer for Scott USA.

This combination of global experience and firsthand knowledge of the brand provides him with a unique perspective to drive Scott’s next phase of growth.

“Scott has always adapted to meet the needs of riders and consumers,” stated Heitmann. “My focus will be to build on that legacy—ensuring we meet our customers where they are, strengthening our digital and brand positioning, and supporting our dealer network with a thoughtful multichannel approach.”

Heitmann continued, “The pace of change in our industry is accelerating. To thrive, companies must embrace new technologies and respond to the evolving expectations of customers. Youngone and Scott’s ongoing investments show their commitment to the brand’s future, with a clear direction centred on digitalisation, customer-centricity, and brand engagement.”

The sporting goods industry continues to undergo significant transformation, with new technologies, consumer behaviours and commercial models all reshaping the landscape. Scott is well-positioned to meet these challenges by balancing its strong heritage with modern business practices, ensuring the brand remains relevant and connected to its diverse global audience.

“Matt’s appointment as CGO represents an important step in our long-term strategy,” commented Pascal Ducrot, co-CEO of Scott Sports. “His international experience and understanding of Scott will complement the exceptional work already being done by our teams worldwide. Together, we will continue to strengthen our consumer focus and further develop our digital capabilities.”

The transition also acknowledges the remarkable contributions of Reto Aeschbacher, who has led Scott’s global marketing efforts for nearly three decades. Aeschbacher will remain with the company through the end of September 2025 to ensure continuity and a smooth transition. Heitmann’s new role builds on this foundation, reinforcing Scott’s long-standing commitment to innovation, performance, and its “No Shortcuts” philosophy.
