Shake & Stir Vintage Music Festival to return this year

The Shake & Stir Vintage Music Festival will take place at Fisherman’s Walk, Southbourne, on Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29.

This will be the festival’s 11th year.

For the first time, it will be ticketed to help sustain its entertainment and community spirit.

The festival is organised by Stir Events CIC, a not-for-profit organisation and has become a key part of the national vintage events calendar.

Southbourne’s Shake & Stir festival marks 11th year with ticketed event (Image: Shake and Stir Vintage Music Festival) It will feature vintage music, retro fashion, classic cars and an artisan market.

Event director at Stir Events CIC Mandy Polkey said: “We’re thrilled to celebrate our 11th year with ticketed entry to ensure we can continue delivering an unforgettable experience.

“By partnering with Rotary, we’re amplifying our community impact and giving back in a meaningful way.”

The festival will welcome Dutch rock ‘n’ roll performers The Explosion Rockets and DJ Mr E and Dave Norrell.

There will be a line-up of vintage artists, bands and solo acts.

Shake & Stir has won the DMB Tourism Award three times.

The festival promises music and dancing, classic cars and retro displays.
