Shearwell Data given King’s award for international trade
Shearwell Data Limited, founded in 1992, is renowned as a leading global supplier of animal identification and livestock management systems.
Based in the heart of Exmoor National Park, the company provides a range of products designed to help farmers effectively manage their herds and flocks.
Shearwell Data’s products, developed and manufactured in the UK, are rigorously tested on the family’s own farms to ensure their quality, reliability, and ease of use.

The King’s Award, one of the highest honours for British businesses, was announced on May 6, recognising Shearwell Data’s outstanding short-term growth. In the three years to September 2023, the company saw its overseas sales grow by an impressive 69%, reaching nearly £7m and accounting for almost a third of its total turnover.
With ambitions to continue expanding its export markets, the company is set for even greater global reach in the coming years.
As part of their success, Shearwell Data’s founder and managing director, Richard Webber, has been invited to a royal reception with His Majesty King Charles III this summer. The official award presentation will take place later this year, conducted by the Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset, His Majesty’s personal representative in the county.
