Shocking video: Child travels in a bag tied to motorcycle handlebar – news

Unbelievable recklessness: A parent hangs their child from a motorcycle handlebar like a shopping bag.

Just when you thought humanity could not sink any lower, along comes someone who redefines recklessness.  We have carried grocery bags tied to the motorcycle handle, but a shocking video shows a person carrying their child the same way. The small kid is sitting all cramped inside the bag as it dangles from the motorcycle handlebars.

At a time when road safety is a global priority, this is a blatant disregard for safety. We not only condone this action and hope that strict action is taken by the authorities before this kind of negligence leads to tragedy.

Child carried like a cargo

This outrageous video was uploaded by vinay_kumar8130 on Instagram hows an unfathomable act of negligence. The clip shows that the motorcycle was descending a flyover while the rider filmed the child sittng in the bag which was hanging on the right side of the handlebar. Not only is it extremely unsafe to carry a child in this way, but to video the entire incident while riding the bike makes me speechless with disgust. Unfortunately, the origin source and details of this video are unknown.

The worst part here is that the rider casually filmed this stunt incident instead of keeping both hands on the bike. We don’t know where or why this happened, but it shows how reckless some people can be putting a child’s life at risk just for a video.

No traffic laws for stupidity

While most parents safely seat their children on two-wheelers, the Motor Vehicles Act does not explicitly penalize unsafe child carrying. However, authorities can still punish this reckless rider under broader traffic laws.

The primary charge against this irresponsible rider would be dangerous driving or riding. This offence carries a fine of up to Rs 5,000 or imprisonment ranging from six months to a year for the first violation. A second offence can result in up to two years of jail time, a fine of up to Rs 10,000, or both. Additional penalties include license suspension and vehicle impoundment.
