So if you’re after a transitional jacket to see you through to summer, you’ve come to the right place.

For the bargain price of £5, it’s even worth stashing away until autumn.

Sharing the bargain buy with shoppers on TikTok, staff at Primark’s Braehead store, near Glasgow, said: “Sale jacket was £34 now £5.”

In their short clip, four rails can be seen packed full of the cream boucle tweed jacket.

The jacket features two pockets across the front and a zip fastening for easy wear – and has the look of Chanel for a fraction of the designer price.

Unsurprisingly, shoppers are racing to their nearest store to try and bag one.

One begged a pal: “Can you pick me one up?”

A second gushed: “I need !!!!!!!”

“Ohhhh that’s so cute”, added a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: “Another shopping trip.”

Primark releases £14 ‘IT dress’ of the summer ‘that has it all’ including built-in bra

And if this has you legging it to Primark this weekend, you may also want to keep an eye out for a new summer dress which “has it all” according to the purse-friendly retailer.

The high street chain has a summer midi dress which comes in a range of colours for just £14.

While the price was enough to tempt many people, it was the extra feature which also proved to be popular.

The summer dress also has a built-in bra for a more seamless look.

Primark shared a video of the dress in a range of designs and said “summer sorted!”

Around two million shoppers flock to Primark’s 450 stores every single week.

Founded in Ireland in 1969, Primark is a huge, international powerhouse in the world of high street shopping, employing more than 80,000 people in 17 countries across Europe and the US.

Why is Primark the place to go for bargains?

JUST how does Primark do it? Continue delivering on-trend items at such incredible prices? According to bosses, it’s down to four points.

  • They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to that, they are able to make savings by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
  • They “do very little advertising”
  • While their clothes offer the “latest trends”, they “don’t use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
  • And lastly, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores”. This includes things like asking “suppliers to pack our t-shirts so they are ready to go straight on shelf”.
