New Delhi: The anticipation behind Salman Khan’s Sikandar was soaring high. But when the movie was released on Eid, March 30, 2025, it seemed to have failed to impress the audience. It was assumed that a film with such incredible star power would join the Rs 100 club in no time, however, that does not seem to be the case. Despite being nearly a week into its theatrical run, Sikandar has yet to reach the milestone.

Starring Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Sharman Joshi, Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Babbar, and Sathyaraj, the film’s cast is commendable, to say the least. So, why is the film struggling to reach a milestone that must be a walk in the park for a Salman Khan-starrer? Let’s take a look at the Box Office numbers to figure it out.

Sikandar Day 6 Box Office collection

The film opened with Rs 26 crore at the Box Office on Day 1, and the numbers kept declining ever since. Sikandar‘s collections saw the lowest dip on Day 5 with only Rs 6 crore in earnings. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Sikandar earned Rs 4.01 crore on Day 6, as of 10 PM on Saturday (April 5). Sikandar has earned Rs 94.26 crore in Nett India collections and Rs 149.25 crore in worldwide earnings.

So, the question stands: why is Sikandar not attracting an audience? Well, one of the reasons could be the fact that the film was entirely leaked only a few hours after release. Although immediate action was taken, the damage was already done. Another common reason could be the expensive movie theater prices. Not only tickets, the experience itself – snacks included – has become an extremely expensive endeavour, forcing people to watch films illegally or wait till its OTT release. A few netizens have also opined that Salman Khan’s ‘star-power’ is on the decline, leading to poor Box Office performance. While this seems unlikely, it could be a possibility.
