Sindh, World Bank to boost cooperation in health and education

The Sindh government and the World Bank have agreed to strengthen collaboration across multiple sectors, with a particular focus on health and education.

The understanding was reached during a meeting between Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and newly appointed World Bank Country Director Bolormaa Amgaabazar in Karachi on Tuesday.

According to officials, the discussion centered on World Bank–assisted projects, including initiatives to increase enrollment in primary and middle schools.

Both sides also agreed to work on improving the collection of agricultural tax, sales tax on services, and property tax, in a bid to enhance the province’s revenue generation.
