Škoda enters Omani market, aims for 10,000 annual sales in Middle East
Škoda Auto has officially entered the Omani market, opening a showroom in Muscat, the company announced in a press release on Thursday. It will offer a full range of European-made internal combustion models, along with the India-produced Kushaq. The company aims to sell 10,000 cars annually in the Middle East.
Following its exit from Russia and a slowdown in China, Škoda is shifting focus to India, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. Last year, it delivered 926,600 vehicles globally, a 6.9% increase.
Škoda entered Oman through Premium Motors, part of the Alfardan Group. In the coming months, it will introduce models including the new Octavia RS and a full SUV line-up, from the compact Kushaq to the seven-seater Kodiaq.
