Sky Sports pundit reacts as Blackburn Rovers and Derby County chase Cody Drameh
Lee Hendrie believes that Cody Drameh has to prioritise game time with his next career move amid Blackburn Rovers, Derby County and Preston North End transfer interest in the Hull City defender.
According to the Lancashire Evening Post, the Lilywhites have had a bid rejected for the full-back.
However, they also face competition from their Championship rivals Blackburn and Derby, with Drameh’s permanent exit from the Tigers still on the cards despite the rejected offer.
The 23-year-old only joined Hull last summer from Leeds United, but struggled for regular game time as he made just 28 appearances in the Championship.
Lee Hendrie makes Cody Drameh playing time claim
Hendrie believes that Drameh’s best position is at right-back despite being capable of playing on both flanks.
Given his lack of game time at Hull, he has claimed that any of these three prospective new clubs could be good fits, as long as he gets the game time he needs to develop.
“I’ve seen a little bit of him last season when he was at Hull, I’ve seen a bit of him when he was at Birmingham when he was there also,” Hendrie exclusively told Football League World.

Big claim made on Acun Ilicali ownership of Hull City as manager hunt goes on
Hull City owner Acun Ilicali is seeking investment into the club while looking for a new manager, and a new favourite has emerged for the vacant role.
“Obviously he can play in both full-back areas really. To be fair, he’s quite versatile in that way.
“I know he didn’t play too much at the back end of the season for Hull, quite clearly he wasn’t at the sorts of what they wanted to use him.
“I think his best position is right-back, and obviously in that area they’re well covered, so I think yes, the likes of Derby, Preston might be a good fit for him to go out.
“Derby, I think will try and work better this season and try and add players to bolster that squad.

“I think with Blackburn, they are a side that might work, and I think it’s the formation they play that might just suit him because he likes to get forward.
“He’s still a young man, he’s still learning his game, so I think any of them three clubs would be a great addition to take him.
“But as long as he gets game time, I think that’s going to be important for him next season.”
Drameh needs to find the right fit to get his career back on track
Drameh has struggled for game time at Hull, having been out of the team at Leeds prior to this move.
It’s been a disappointing season, and a move away might be the best next step for his career, even if the lack of stability is a concern.
If he can find the right fit where he’d be guaranteed regular game time under a coach that knows how to get the best out of him, then a permanent move would be the right step.
John Eustace at Derby County could be the kind of manager he needs to work under, which might make them the best fit this summer.
