Smith of Women’s Track & Field Named Peggy’s Scranton Athlete of the Week

Sophomore Jocelyn Smith of The University of Scranton women’s track & field team won the 60m at the SU Tune Up hosted by Susquehanna University on Friday and has been named Peggy’s Scranton Athlete of the Week for the period ending Feb. 23, 2025.
This is the first career Peggy’s Scranton Athlete of the Week award for Smith.
Smith ran a quick 60m as she clocked a 7.95 to claim first in the event. She is currently tied for 3rd in the conference for the 60m with a season-best time of 7.88.
Smith and the Royals will return to the track this Saturday, March 1 for the Landmark Conference Championships in Landover, MD.
