Snapchat Showcases AR Tools And Spectacles At Delhi Creator Connect

Snapchat is witnessing rapid growth in India, with both content engagement and the creator community. Over the past two years, the total time users spend watching content on the app has doubled, the social media giant said during the Creator Connect at Delhi on September 26th. At the same time, the number of official Snap Stars, which is another name for the platform’s top creators, has grown by 1.5 times. Content creation is also growing. Posts shared on Spotlight, Snapchat’s short-video feature, have seen more than a 4x increase year-over-year, the Snapchat team mentioned. This shows how quickly Indian creators are turning to Snapchat as a space to express themselves, build an audience, and share stories. Creator Connect At Delhi
To celebrate and support this growth, Snapchat hosted Creator Connect in Delhi on September 26. The event brought together creators, Snap Stars, and industry leaders to share ideas and learn from each other.
Workshops focused on storytelling techniques, how to earn through Snapchat’s revenue-share programs, and how to use new augmented reality (AR) tools to connect with audiences in creative ways. Bollywood and Punjabi stars Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa also joined a fireside chat, sharing how they use the platform to stay close to their fans.
Attendees even got a first look at Snapchat’s fifth-generation Spectacles – AR glasses that can run real-time Lenses and include a new Spectator Mode for sharing experiences.
New Opportunities for Indian Creators
India is now one of Snapchat’s fastest-growing markets, and the company is expanding its support for local talent. Programs like Snap School and Snap With Stars are helping emerging voices learn, grow, and collaborate with top creators.
Snapchat is also partnering with major brands to create new opportunities for creators and connect them with marketing campaigns. From athletes like Neeraj Chopra and Rishabh Pant to entertainers like Diljit Dosanjh and Rashmika Mandanna, many well-known faces are now using Snapchat to share authentic stories and reach millions.
