Following opening remarks from the co-chairs of the event and a fireside chat, the first panel of the day will explore perspectives of bankers and businesses in the current Latin American M&A market, as well as discussing what the future holds for deal-making in the region.
After a short networking break, the second panel will examine the legal and regulatory challenges of tender offers in key Latin American jurisdictions. Points of discussion are set to include structuring and execution challenges, risk mitigation strategies and anticipated reforms in Latin American M&A deal-making.
Following a networking lunch and fireside chat covering the history of Brazil’s Plano Real – an economic plan introduced in 1994 to stabilise Brazil’s economy through the Real currency – the event’s third panel will provide insight into the role of boards of directors in M&A transactions. Experts will compare approaches across jurisdictions and share insights on best practices in navigating fiduciary obligations in complex deals.
To round off the day, panellists will look at how global sociopolitical events are shaping M&A in Latin America, including the regulatory landscape, enforcement mechanisms and other aspects. The discussion will cover key industries driving deal-making in 2025 as well as trends in fintech M&A, the impact of AI on dealmaking and the evolution of ESG trends.
Delegates are then invited to join a drinks reception, which will take place at the same venue as the conference.
Stay tuned to upcoming briefings for further information about the event as they are announced.
