Special Olympics T&T to host 2024 Floorball National Games tomorrow | Sports

Special Olympics Trinidad and Tobago (SOTT) will be staging its rescheduled 2024 Floorball National Games tomorrow at the Southern Regional Indoor Sports Arena, Pleasantville, from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.

The Games will feature 120 athletes, 30 coaches, and officials from 9 special schools across Trinidad and Tobago, along with 50 volunteers. Floorball, an adaptation of hockey, is a Special Olympics Winter Sport.

Athletes will compete in 5 areas during the Individual Skills Contest:

Shooting for Accuracy

Stickhandling

Flip Pass over an Obstacle

Receiving and Passing

Shooting around the goal

The event will kick off with an Opening Ceremony at 8.30 am.

The final members of the All-Female Floorball Team, who will represent SOTT at the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Turin, Italy, from March 8–15, 2025, will be presented during an exhibition game that will close the event.
