Sports Vouchers continue to help Queensland youth get active
The Queensland Government’s Play On! Sports Vouchers, which continue to support Queensland youth get active and play their favourite sport, open for applications on 4th August.
Each voucher is valued up to $200, with every Queensland child and young person aged between five and 17 named on a Medicare card eligible to apply.
The vouchers will be available for winter or summer sport, with a dedicated allocation for children living with a disability, as well as for youth living in country Queensland.
The State Government’s 2025-26 Budget is delivering $62.5 million each year for four years towards the program to help with the rising cost of living for Queensland families and get more children active.
QLD Minister for Sport and Racing and Minister for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tim Mander noted “from the city to the country it’s imperative that our kids are given every opportunity to be active and play their favourite sport.”
