Stocks plunged news: Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Thursday’s session
NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 1508.91 points up at 78553.2 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Abhinav Leasing(down 20.00 per cent), AA Plus Tradelink(down 19.44 per cent), Jackson Invest.(down 19.04 per cent), GKP Printing & Pack(down 13.67 per cent) and Uniroyal Ind(down 11.44 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 44 stocks closed in the green, while 6 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 414.46 points up at 23851.65.
On the BSE, Jackson Invest., Vikas Multicorp, Trio Mercantile, Gensol Engg and Kesoram Inds. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while SER Industries Ltd., Oswal Agro Mill, Pankaj Polymers, Binani Ind and Sofcom Systems touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
