Succession Creator’s HBO Movie Receives Title and Release Date

Succession creator Jesse Armstrong’s new HBO movie has officially received its title and release date, and it’s coming sooner than expected.

Per Variety, Armstrong’s new film is officially titled Mountainhead and is set to premiere on Max on May 31. The film was announced back in January and began filming in March, making it one of the quicker turnarounds in recent memory. The film is currently set to wrap production this week. Mountainhead serves as Armstrong’s first project since Succession wrapped up its Emmy-winning run back in 2023. Armstrong also penned the script for the film.
